Four-Star Wide Receiver Trey Blount Plans To Return For Irish Invasion

One of Notre Dame's top targets is planning a return trip to South Bend.

Atlanta Pace Academy four-star wide receiver Trey Blount told Rivals.com's Mike Farrell this past weekend at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour stop in Atlanta the he will "probably" be at Notre Dame on June 17 for the annual Irish Invasion.

That news comes just two weeks after Blount was on campus for Notre Dame's second Junior Day of the cycle.

"They just like that South speed," Blount said when asked about Notre Dame's recruiting pitch to him. "They want to bring it up North and they told me that I can play on the outside and stretch the field for them."

"Their academics is A1," he added. "They are like top in the country for academics. I want to study electrical or electronic engineering and they have a great engineering program."

Blount, who is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 48 wide receiver in the country, also holds offers from Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, Oklahoma and South Carolina. He has taken recent trips to Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia, and said that those three schools are the ones that are recruiting him the hardest.

Notre Dame is expected to take four wide receivers this cycle and Blount is viewed as a priority for the staff. The 6-2, 195-pound wideout is listed as the No. 27 prospect in Georgia.
