One of Notre Dame’s top remaining targets plans to make a decision two days before National Signing Day.

Old Tappan (N.J.) High three-star safety Jordan Fuller said Monday he’ll announce a commitment Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. ET through VarsityHighlights.Tv and pick between his five finalists: Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Rutgers and Penn State.

Fuller, who is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 34 safety in the country, took an official visit to Notre Dame last month and left with high remarks for the program ($), but the Irish appear to be on the outside looking in when it comes to his services.

The New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year was in Ann Arbor this past weekend for an official visit and was in Columbus the week before that to see the Buckeyes.

Still, while the Irish might not have much traction at the moment, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is expected to go on an in-home visit with the defensive back on Wednesday make one last pitch.

“We have always felt like a priority and still do,” Fuller’s father, Bart, told Blue & Gold Illustrated earlier this month. “We went [To Notre Dame on the visit] wanting focus on education and what the network looks like, and we came away with feeling that what we had heard was true in terms of what a Notre Dame degree means.”

Ohio State’s Urban Meyer and Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh are also set to meet with Fuller on Wednesday.

The 6-2, 190-pound Fuller is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 10 prospect in Georgia.

Notre Dame currently has 22 commitments in the class including seven defensive backs.
