Notre Dame offensive line coach Harry Hiestand's efforts on the recruiting trail have earned him some national recognition. Hiestand was named by Rivals.com as a Top 25 recruiter on Monday, just a week after three four-star offensive linemen inked with the Irish.

"What is remarkable about [Heistand's] effort in 2016 is that he went into the state of Ohio in a year immediately following Ohio State winning a National Championship and took two four-star offensive linemen from the Buckeyes," Rivals.com's Josh Helmholdt wrote in reference to Cincinnati Elder Rivals100 tackle Tommy Kraemer and Cleveland St. Ignatius Rivals250 tackle Liam Eichenberg.

"Hiestand then went down to Florida and landed another four-star in Parker Boudreaux, who had an extensive offer list," he added.

Hiestand wasn't responsible for much in Notre Dame's class outside of the offensive line, but he still drew plenty of praise from Brian Kelly on National Signing Day when the head coach was asked about the line.

"[Parker Boudreaux] is obviously a big, physical, inside guy and has that physical presence inside like a — I'm not comparing him, but he's a Quinton Nelson in terms of size and physicality," Kelly said. "Then two edge guys with Liam and Tommy on the outside. Those two kids are as good as you're going to find in the country, and couldn't be more excited to have two kids from the state of Ohio, from two great Catholic schools in St. Ignatius and Cincinnati Elder from the state of Ohio."

Hiestand has now managed to sign eight four-star linemen and one five-star prospect since the start of 2014. He has already locked up a Rivals100 talent for the next cycle in Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny four-star tackle Joshua Lugg and his top targets include: Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette five-star tackle Jedrick Wills, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco five-star guard Wyatt Davis and Jackson (Tenn.) University School four-star tackle Trey Smith.
