Notre Dame is pulling out all the stops in order to land the nation’s top-ranked athlete.

The Irish rolled into Savannah (Ga.) Christian School early Thursday morning with the team’s 18-wheel equipment truck ‘ND 1’ to meet with five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson.

Robertson, who is ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the country, has the Irish at the top of his list of schools along with Stanford, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and California.

“We’re looking forward to them coming down,” Robertson’s brother, Carlos, told Blue & Gold Illustrated on Wednesday. “It’s at the point now where we can just hang out with the coaches.”

Notre Dame associate head coach Mike Denbrock, offensive coordinator Mike Sanford and tight ends coach Scott Booker all made the trip to Savannah for the in-home visit with Robertson after head coach Brian Kelly made the rounds last week.

Robertson is set to take an official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend, but reports surfaced on Wednesday that the family also plans to take a visit to Georgia Feb. 6 — the weekend after National Signing Day (Feb. 3).

Carlos Robertson explained that’s not exactly the case.

“[That visit] is still pretty much up in the air,” he said. “It’s not really set in stone quite yet.”

The 6-0, 180-pound Robertson is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 1 athlete in the country and the No. 1 recruit in Georgia.
