Notre Dame signee Tommy Kraemer earned one of the nation's top honors for a prep football player on Friday.

The Cincinnati Elder four-star offensive tackle was named a Parade All-American.

Kraemer, who is ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 4 offensive tackle, will mark the second Parade All-American on Notre Dame's offensive line after inking a letter of intent with the school on Wednesday. Sophomore center Tristen Hoge was named to the same unit last season.

Notre Dame has a rich history when it comes to Parade All-Americans. Jaylon Smith, who won the Butkus Award as the nation's top college linebacker this past season, was honored by the magazine when he came out of Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers back in 2012. Joe Montana, one the program's most storied quarterbacks, was tabbed by the publication for the team in 1974. And there has been a number of others over the years.

The 6-5, 310-pound Kraemer is listed as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Ohio. He participated in the U.S. Army All-American Game and was named the Gatorade Ohio Football Player of the Year this past season.
