Former Irish receiver Will Fuller became Notre Dame’s second pick of Thursday’s first round of the NFL Draft.

The standout receiver was selected No. 21 overall by the Houston Texans, which traded up one spot in order to draft him.

Fuller originally committed to Texans head coach Bill O'Brien when he was previously at Penn State before ultimately ending up in South Bend.

Fuller became the sixth player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft under head coach Brian Kelly, with offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley the fifth after the Baltimore Ravens picked him No. 6 earlier in the round.

The Philadelphia native snagged 29 touchdown passes in his final two seasons before declaring for the NFL Draft following his junior year.

He also caught 76 passes for 1,094 yards in 2014 and 62 for 1,258 as a junior in 2015.

He is the first Irish receiver to go in the first round since Michael Floyd went to the Cardinals in 2012.

This year marks just the second time since 1994 that Notre Dame has produced a pair of first-round players. In 2012, Floyd and Harrison Smith (Vikings) both were among the first 32 picks.
